We can finally see the ground! We still have so much work to do, but we can finally see the light!
We found lots of pots and old bottles. I put the pots in my greenhouse. I don't know what to do with all the bottles. There are old coke bottles, ball jars, pickle jars and others.
We kept a lot of wood to hopefully use for the chicken coop, but we found a lot of rotted wood. We put that in a pile with the leaves and debris we raked up from the floor and burned it.
When our kids got home, they could not believe how much work we got done and my 6-year-old wanted to help while my husband was cutting back branches. My son cut a bunch of branches too with little hedge cutters and he was so proud of himself. Here is my free labor team :)
In other news, my oldest daughter did a book project on Little House in the Big Woods and got to dress for it. Here is my little Laura Ingalls :) I am so excited she is finally liking these books. I look forward to a fun summer with the 2 of us reading some more of the books together and watching old reruns of it on the Hallmark Channel. LOVE!
Wow!! You really have gotten a lot done! Your daughter looks adorable in her little gingham skirt! I want to read these with my daughter this summer too. She really likes to read, which is a stark contrast to my son who only likes to read video games... (HA!)
